think about the times i once was in
to look back and to see
see the sin that so easily entangled me
How easy it was and joyful at times
to see for an instance something divine
divine in a sense common to man
a place where God's wishes were my own
where a thought brought to living for others
but really living to end up alone
A FLEETING JOY OF MOMENTARY LOVE
Robbed, Taken, Stolen
To exist for the present but reside in the past
To journey across the horizons, pass the sunsets
but to be completely blinded to it's amazing Grasp
a prayer to unlock my eyes
unbreak my heart
unchain my life
so that every ambition, intention, thought becomes Christ
slowly i enter beaten, trampled
filled with sorrow, pain, and doubt
broken, crawling, groveling
knees bent by shame
Gates swung open as you proclaim
peace, joy, rest, and trust, back into my life
You lift me up to the place
where you touch gray clouds to make rainbows
The place where i am planted, fed, and can prosper and grow.
